Mayor Rodrigo Duterte made a controversial statement when he recalled what the government did in the aftermath of the typhoon Yolanda. During that time he claimed that he wanted to slap Roxas.
Duterte also questioned the credentials of Liberal Party standard bearer Manuel Roxas II as a Wharton graduate.
As a result, Roxas was not pleased with what Duterte said. He challenge the Davao City mayor to slap him if he can.
“Sampalin niya ako, puntahan niya ako dito. Kung hindi punta ako sa Davao, sampalin niya ako sa airport tingnan natin,” Roxas said.
He added that he is ready to slap Duterte if he fails to prove all his allegations towards the LP presidential bet.
It is saddening that Roxas and Duterte are acting like this because they were close friends before they both decided to run for the 2016 presidential race.
