After John Lloyd starred in the MMFF movie 'Honor Thy Father', he claims that he shares the same feeling of hopelessness of his character.

"Filipinos deserve a better nation", John Lloyd says.

He portrays Edgar, a man who seeks to pay their family's debt and attempts to keep his family safe from people whose money were stolen.

"Filipinos deserve a better nation", John Lloyd says.

In an interview with Push, the 32-year-old star criticized the government for not providing the countrymen with their basic necessities, making some Filipinos victims to scams like what is shown in the movie.

He added that he's not a happy Filipino citizen if we are to talk about the service that we deserve but not properly given by the government. 'With all the hardships people face, we deserve a better nation', says John Lloyd.

He also said that he has given up on the country at one point, but thanks to his friend's advice he changed his perspective.

As long as there are people who are still fighting to make a change in the country, there is no reason to give up and lose hope for the country.
