Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach finally reacted with the burning of her effigy in Colombia!

People apparently have not move on with the controversial Miss Universe 2015 pageant. 

Because Steve Harvey mixed-up the names of the candidates, he announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner. Few minutes later the crown was taken away and was given to the real winner, Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach.

It was a shocking and unbelievable moment for everyone, especially the supporters of both candidates. Weeks after the pageant, many are still arguing about it, bashing and defending their bet for the crown.

Another controversial event also happened last New Year's Eve when a Colombian man named Noider Almanza Barraza posted a video burning the effigy of Pia Wurtzbach. 

Filipinos got angry with this even though it was considered a tradition for the Colombians. They claim that it was offending and it made them mad.

The news reached Pia Wurtzbach and she was asked about it. 

In 'Umagang Kay Ganda', Pia said that she heard about it and she researched and was able to learn that it was a tradition. She claims that their tradition is somewhat shocking and new to her, but she continues to understand that it is customary in Colombia and other Latin American countries.

She also added that this is one of the beauty of Miss Universe; we learn the customs of other countries.
