The 41st Metro Manila Film Festival 2015 Awards Night took place at the Kia Theater, Araneta Center in Quezon City. In this recently concluded event, there were some who went home with different awards.
One of them was 'Kalye-serye' star Maine Mendoza who took home her very first acting trophy for being a part of 'My Bebe Love.' She won the Best Supporting Actress Award for her role.
Moreover, the movie broke the box office records with a gross of P60.4 million on opening day. Maine Mendoza's co-stars were Alden Richards, Vic Sotto and Aiai delas Alas.
Many of AlDub fans praised and congratulated Maine for being one of the big winners during the awards night. But it cannot be denied that there were also some who were not pleased with the results.
Some netizens claim that Maine Mendoza doesn't deserve the award. Others also gave rise to the hashtag #RIPMMFF for bringing such disappointment because of the lack of judgement and basis in the awards.
