During the Miss Universe 2015 pageant, host Steve Harvey made a terrible mistake in proclaiming the winner. He mixed up the names and announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the new Miss Universe instead of Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach.
This "honest human mistake" drew various reactions from the netizens. Though Steve Harvey apologized already for his wrong annoucement.
But some really can't help but show their dismay and displeasure with the results including actress Sofia Vergara, Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, and Miss Germany Sarah Lorraine Riek, who expressed their support for Miss Colombia.
It was also reported that representatives from Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Mexico and other Latina countries "were squarely and tearfully blaming Miss Philippines for the embarrassment." But none of them could explain why the mistake was Miss Philippines' fault.

As a result, the judges of the pageant, Perez Hilton and Niecy Nash, have spoken and claimed that it was an unanimous decision to give the crown to Pia Wurtzbach and she truly deserves it.
Furthermore, Miss Bulgaria Radostina Todorova also became a trending topic on Twitter for urging Pia Wurtzbach to walk as the new Miss Universe. She also posted on her personal Facebook account that she is grateful for the attention and she invited Filipinos to visit her country.
These negative reactions should now end because the winning envelope proves that Miss Philippines won fair and square.
